Hi! I'm a digital artist and photographer from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Using photoshop I create pieces responding to quotes and other inspirations to create the world of my imagination which you are invited to come and explore along with me.
A love quilting influences my use of colour, an awareness of the importance of the values, a love for small pieces and textures. I began taking photos in grade school with an Instamatic camera, eventually moving on to a 35 mm camera and later to a digital SLR. Prior to a cellphone with a decent camera, a small digital camera was always in my purse or pocket. With the purchase of the digital camera, I wanted to learn how to process my photos and eventually that lead to wanting to know more about Photoshop. A series of classes designed to improve my photography led to the purchase of Sebastian Michael’s Living the Photo Artistic Life course.
The first COVID lockdown in 2020 provided a chance to explore that course as well as several subsequent courses. The digital art has provided hours of joy during the lockdown and an opportunity to connect with other digital artists around the world as we worked together through the courses connecting via zoom once a week to encourage and support each other.
My work has appeared in the the Art a la Carte 2023 exhibit at the Ontario Legislature, the online Art Squared exhibit by Arts on the Credit and the Headwaters Arts Fall Festival Juried Show and Sale. It has also been published in several issues of the digital magazine Living the Photo Artistic Life. Most recently, the online gallery Artterra.ca has chosen to represent 4 of my State of Being pieces.
